Roots of Jinnah
Here are some interesting facts on the Lohana roots of Mohammad Ali Jinnah the founding father of Pakistan:
He was the grandson of Premjibhai Thakkar (Gondal), who, to support his family, entered into the trading of fish within the coastal town of Veraval.
His business, however, clashed with the (vegetarian) strong moral ethics of the Lohanas and as a result he was ostracised from the community.
He made enough money in this trade and attempted to rejoin the community. He also discontinued the fish business. The Lohana leaders, in their wisdom, did not accept his request.
(think about the course of history, if they had not had inflated egos and had welcomed him back!)
Premjibhai' s son Punjalal Thakkar (Jinnah's father) was enraged at his father's humiliation and reacted like any other Lohana - with equal and
opposite force. He adopted the Muslim religion and changed the names of all his four sons. However, he continued to use his Gujarati nickname: Zino (pronounced Jinno in old fashioned Gujarati) which means 'Skinny.'
Jinno`s son - Mohammad Ali - changed his family name to Jinnah - the nickname of his converted father.
So, here is the fact. Gandhiji who effectively gave birth to independent India (Bharat) and Jinnah, who is the father of Pakistan , are both sons of Saurashtra, (old Kathiavad) Gujarat
This information is about lineage of JINNAH the person who fathered PAKISTAN. The information indicates as to how uncompromising attitude of the communities have thrown the persons out in the name of religious beliefs by shutting and slamming doors at their faces. The HINDUS have specially suffered a lot due to this tendency and the result is that the country which was once purely HINDU dominated have ceded ground to others such as the MUSLIMS ,CHRISTIANS AND MANY others. It was again this type of attitude on their part ,that some invaders very small in numbers and too less militarily strong came beyond the borders and were able to first defeat, conquer and sat on our necks to loot, humiliate and enslave us. Then the ENGLISH people did the same to the majority community of this country. That they all were able to dominate us is mainly due to the bad culture of jealousy inherent with the community and the foolish acts of hatred and repulsion making this majority community into the minority .
The community as such should be in urgent need to learn from their past folly ,take a retreat and develop the culture of open arm welcome to all including at their places of worship and shed the tendency of repulsion & HATRED IF IT STILL WISHES TO continue as a MAJORITY COMMUNITY.
